Sea salt is intimately shaped by the body of water it’s harvested from.
Local rainfall, proximity to fresh water, mineral content, and season combine to produce a local “merroir” (like the terroir of a specific vineyard).
Each one of our small batches of sea salt encapsulates a unique sense of place and time.
The finishing touch
Our Nova Scotian sea salt is best used as a finishing salt - added at the end to enhance the natural flavors of food.
Add generous pinches of sea salt to eggs, steamed vegetables, meats, baked goods, popcorn, and grilled fish, or add to olive oil and dip in freshly baked bread.
